$35 Million Fundraising Campaign
Share the Spirit of Care Capital Campaign
Share the Spirit of Care - Supporting York Central Hospital…a growing Hospital for a growing Community!
York Central Hospital has been taking care of you and your community for over four decades. Established in 1963, we have evolved into today’s sophisticated, 433-bed health centre.
We strive to ensure that our patients receive care based on our values: sensitivity, privacy, dignity and compassion.
To ensure that we can maintain our standard of high quality care and continue to fulfill our important role in Southwest York Region, our Hospital must keep pace with the dramatic changes happening in our community.
York Central Hospital was designed to serve a community of just 34,000 people – we are now responsible for the health care needs of come 330,000. Last renovated in 1973, our Acute Care Facility is simply much too small and too old for the volume of health care services we must now provide.
York Central Hospital Foundation has launched the Share the Spirit of Care Campaign – a volunteer led Capital Campaign in support of York Central Hospital’s expansion and renovation plan. Campaign Committees led by Campaign Chair and Aurora resident Stanley Neal, have been working to attract gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, community organizations and service clubs.
Our Exciting future includes the expansion and renovation of these vital patient care areas and the addition of two new patient care floors:
| - Emergency |
- Ambulatory Care Service |
| - Diagnostic Imaging Department |
- Woman & Child Services |
| - Critical Care Unit |
- York Regional Dialysis Program |
| - Acute Care Beds |
- Mental Health Services |
Our Vision… is to meet the health care needs of our community.
Our Goal… is to invest substantially in equipment and technology that will enable all who provide care at York Central Hospital to do their very best work.
This Campaign…is really about being able to provide the best possible care to people in their own community.
