About York Central Hospital Foundation

York Central Hospital Foundation was established in 1977 to raise funds for equipment and capital improvements for the facilities at York Central Hospital. Although operating costs are largely funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health, a significant portion of the money required for new equipment and capital improvements must be raised within the community. It is to meet this constant challenge that the Foundation exists.

The Mission of York Central Hospital Foundation is carried out by our volunteer Board of Directors who are elected and confirmed each year at the Foundation’s Annual Meeting.

Currently our “Share the Spirit of Care Campaign” is generating donations towards our objective to raise $35,000,000 to support the expansion and redevelopment of York Central Hospital. Our volunteers will be asking individuals, corporations, local businesses, associations, our Hospital doctors and staff, and a variety of others who share our spirit of care to support this campaign by making the most generous gift they possibly can. We can only reach our challenging goal if everyone participates to the best of their ability!
