Physician,
Palliative Care

We are looking to broaden the physician component of our palliative care consultation and inpatient care at York Central Hospital. There is a 15-bed inpatient palliative care unit within the Department of Continuing Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care, and the palliative care physicians also see numerous inpatient consults from the acute care side of the hospital which houses 238 acute beds. There is a large need for caring for palliative care patients in the broader community too, as well as at the local free standing hospice, Hill House Hospice. There is an opportunity in the community to share office space with other family practice physicians, and join a call group of an established family health group. Some palliative care training or experience preferred. Membership or eligibility for membership in the CPSO (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario) required and proof of CMPA (Canadian Medical Protective Association) coverage or equivalent required.
