Discharge

Upon discharge the Client Liaison will visit you again to review billing information for items not covered by provincial health insurance, such as medical devices, semi and private accommodation and telephones.  Payments may be made by debit card, credit card, cheque or cash.

The usual discharge time is 11:00am.  Your physician or nurse will inform you of your discharge date in advance, so you can make arrangements to have someone assist you in going home.  A Patient Care Coordinator will help you with arrangements.  Please be sure to take any instructions provided to you, medications may be filled at the hospital pharmacy located in the main lobby or at your local community pharmacy.

If during your stay you would like to see the Client Liaison to discuss any of this information, please just ask your nurse to make arrangements.

Before leaving the hospital you may receive important instructions to prepare you for going home. This may include personal care information and prescriptions. Please ask your nurse or PCC if you have any questions.
