Upon discharge the Client
Liaison will visit you again to review billing information for items not covered by
provincial health insurance, such as medical devices, semi and private accommodation and
telephones. Payments may be made by debit card, credit card, cheque or cash.
The usual discharge time is 11:00am. Your physician or nurse will inform you of your discharge date in advance,
so you can make arrangements to have someone assist you in going home.
A Patient Care Coordinator will help you with arrangements. Please be
sure to take any instructions provided to you, medications may be filled at
the hospital pharmacy located in the main lobby or at your local community
pharmacy.
If during your stay you would like to see the Client
Liaison to discuss any of this information, please just ask your nurse to make
arrangements.
Before leaving the hospital you may receive
important instructions to prepare you for going home. This may include
personal care information and prescriptions. Please ask your nurse or PCC
if you have any questions.
