If you receive flowers, a volunteer will deliver them to your room. Flower delivery service is daily. As you will note in the "For Your Safety" section of this binder, we do not allow latex balloons on site because of latex allergies and for the safety of children. No flowers are accepted in the Labour and Delivery Unit or in the Critical Care Unit due to allergies and potential difficulties for some patients. Only potted plants are accepted on 4 East (Respiratory Unit). No flowers or fragranced items are accepted on this unit, as many patients on this unit suffer from respiratory problems, which can be aggravated by flowers and perfumes.
