The Adult Mental Health Outpatient Services program is designed for clients who are 18 years of age or older, who are experiencing acute or significant difficulties related to any of a variety of mental health issues.Our team is staffed by professionals who specialize in nursing, social work, psychology and psychiatry.
Services Available
Treatment may be offered in individual and group format depending on the needs identified during assessment. Therapy is goal directed with these goals being established by you and your therapist. Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length. |
The program is designed to provide service to clients in either individual or group sessions. Couples and family members are seen only seen in the context of a mental health issue.
There is no charge for services.
Referrals
Adult Outpatient Services accepts referrals for individuals who are:
- Experiencing significant difficulty with their mental health,
- Adults over 18 years old, and
- Currently living within the service area of York Central Hospital or have a physician who is affiliated with York Central Hospital.
All referrals must be made by a physician.
How to Make a Referral
To refer a client for service, please fax the referral to (905) 832-1952. If more information is required, please call the Intake Secretary at (905) 832-1406, ext. 2202.
Additionally, as part of our referral process we ask that physicians advise their clients to contact our Intake Secretary to activate the referral.
Referrals are not accepted for:
- Individuals who require court mandated assessment and/or treatment services, or
- Individuals whose primary issue is alcohol or substance abuse.
Hours of Operation
We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and some evenings.
