What does Diabetes Education mean to
you?
The Diabetes Education Centre will
provide you with the information you require to make informed choices
which will enhance your health and lifestyle.
How does the Centre operate?
Our teaching team includes Nurses,
Dieticians, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists and an Endocrinologist. The
Diabetes Education Centre will provide you with:

Individual assessment by the nurse
and the dietician.

Individual counselling and ongoing
follow up.

Various teaching programs.
We also offer Italian and Chinese
Diabetes Education classes.
Support and understanding is an
important aspect of living with diabetes. Feel free to bring a family
member or friend to the Centre.
When is the service offered?

Weekdays and evenings.

Before classes, you must come for an
individual appointment.

Follow up appointments are scheduled
and based on individual needs.
Is there any cost?

Diabetes education services are free
of charge.

When attending our programming you
may purchase breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Café or you may
bring your own meal.
