How to become an adult volunteer:

Pick up an application package from The Volunteer & Community Resources office, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or print the forms below.

We request a minimal six-month commitment. Some positions require a 12-month commitment based on the level of complexity of the position.

The process to be considered for a Volunteer placement is:

  1. Complete the Application Form, have your family physician complete the Health form (2-step Mantoux TB test), and provide 2 References from people other than family members or friends. You may wish to include a current resume.

  2. Bring your completed application package to the Volunteer & Community Resources Office. Candidates that meet the criteria will be contacted to arrange an interview.

  3. At the interview we will determine if there is a position available that benefits both you and the hospital.

  4. Successful candidates must provide proof of identification, attend a 2-hour orientation and provide a $25 refundable deposit for their uniform, ID badge and parking pass.

We look forward to having you join our team of over 500 volunteers!
